SKIMMINS HIGH SCHOOL DEBATE ARTICLE
“Is the future of Indian Secular democracy at stake or not?” If you would have witnessed the Margaret Gilbert Inter school debate held at Kimmin’s High school in Panchgani, I am certain that your thinking would have matured as twelve skilful debaters from six different schools, armed with research and filled with confidence engaged in a fruitful and a high quality debate. In the end the St. Mary’s boys finished as the first runner up by a narrow margin of one point. But at the end of this magnificent debate all the debaters embraced one another and we had a scrumptious lunch and all of us had something to take back. A friendship which would last a lifetime.
