GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
“There is no greater happiness in this world than the feeling of giving back to our community”. We at St Mary’s strive to uphold our motto ‘I SERVE’ and to share the countless blessings that God has bestowed upon us.
Keeping this in mind the representatives of four institutions were invited to school. From the money collected through our house assemblies and SUPW activities, we bought commodities like butter, poha, oil, flour and rice. These were presented to Mrs Sheila Chrisitian of St Michael’s Hostel, Sister Elsa of the St George Balikagram, Sister Carmine of the Jeevdan Care Centre and to Eventide Home, by our Community Service Prefects.
Our Principal, Mrs. Mallic Kumar, in her address to the students of class 9 emphasized on the importance of being empathetic towards the needs of others and having a giving heart. A single person’s benevolent spirit can make all the difference in this world.
